How United Way Invests in the Community

Where Your Gift Goes
Hundreds of United Way volunteers invest your Community Impact Fund contributions in local programs that are designed to make our community stronger and safer and help people live better lives. Those programs include quality, affordable child care for working parents; emergency response when safety nets have failed; access to affordable, quality health services for families; and preventing substance abuse from destroying lives.

Contributions to the Community Impact Fund are not designated to a specific agency or to another United Way. Our volunteer teams, with approval of our board, direct these funds to programs best suited to solve the most critical community problems. These funds are an investment in your community that produces results - results that make lasting changes in people’s lives.
